Healthcare facilities to flood victims in Sindh
NorCross and PRCS work together to provide healthcare facilities to flood victims in Sindh
The Pakistan Red Crescent Society, with Norwegian Red Cross (NorCross) Support, has initiated two Mobile Health Teams (MHT) performing outreach medical services in Jacobabad and Jamshoro @ Sehwan. These mobile health teams will help in restoring basic healthcare delivery and critical public health functions for the affected population, which has been cut off from essential health services.
By far the most commonly seen health conditions include respiratory tract infections, malnutrition, diarrhea and skin diseases.
Along with the treatment and free medicines, these mobile health teams are conducting health awareness sessions in the community to raise knowledge of disease prevention, good hygiene, and health practices.
