About Branch
The District Red Crescent Branch Hyderabad is one of the most active humanitarian units in Sindh. Established in 1962, it has evolved from a small dispensary into a massive healthcare network, now recognized as the largest Red Crescent facility in District.
The branch operates under the core principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, providing services regardless of caste, creed, or religion.
The Hyderabad branch manages three major medical centers that serve as the backbone of affordable healthcare in the District:
1. Red Crescent General Hospital (Unit No. 6, Latifabad): A 150-bed facility offering comprehensive medical and surgical services.
2. Red Crescent Institute of Cardiology & General Hospital (Unit No. 2, Latifabad): An 80-bed specialized center focused on cardiac care, diagnostics, and emergency heart treatment.
3. Red Crescent Dispensary (Qasimabad): Provides primary outpatient services and basic medical assistance to the local community.
Ambulance Service: A dedicated fleet of ambulances for patient transport and emergency response within the district.
Disaster Management: Training and deployment of District Disaster Response Teams (DDRT) to assist during floods, heatwaves, or other provincial emergencies.
First Aid Training: Certified courses for students, professionals, and community volunteers in basic life support and CPR.
