PRCS Sindh Provides First Aid & Ambulance Services
Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) Sindh Branch successfully delivered five days of First Aid Posts and ambulance services at multiple sports venues in Karachi.
On the occasion of the 35th National Games, These venues included the KPT Sports Complex, NED University Sports Complex, and Muhammad Siddique Gymnasium Club.
Throughout the event, Emergency Response Corps (ERC) members, supported by trained paramedics, remained actively deployed. As a result, they provided timely first aid services to hundreds of athletes competing in boxing, fencing, and taekwondo events. Moreover, the medical teams ensured immediate response during high-risk matches.
During the games, two critically injured athletes required advanced medical care. Therefore, PRCS teams promptly referred them to nearby hospitals. The injured players were safely shifted through PRCS ambulance services, ensuring rapid and professional emergency transportation.
In addition, the Chairman of PRCS Sindh, along with the Consul General of South Korea and other distinguished guests, visited the First Aid Posts. They closely reviewed the ongoing medical arrangements. Furthermore, they appreciated the dedication, preparedness, and professionalism of the PRCS Sindh teams.
Athletes and officials also shared positive feedback. They expressed their gratitude to PRCS Sindh for providing immediate medical support and ensuring a safe sporting environment. Consequently, the presence of trained responders boosted athlete confidence throughout the event.
During the closing ceremony of the National Games, the event management formally recognized the contribution of PRCS Sindh. Appreciation certificates were presented to the deployed teams in acknowledgment of their outstanding humanitarian services.
Overall, PRCS Sindh reaffirmed its commitment to athlete safety, emergency preparedness, and humanitarian service excellence during national-level sporting events.
