PRCS Sindh Sets Up First Aid Post at Numaish Chowrangi During Muharram Processions
The Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) Sindh Branch
established a dedicated First Aid Post at Numaish Chowrangi, Karachi, to provide immediate medical assistance to mourners participating in the Muharram processions.
During the sacred days of 9th and 10th Muharram, the PRCS Emergency Response Force (ERF) was fully mobilized. Trained PRCS volunteers delivered first aid services to Azadaran-e-Hussain, addressing cases such as dehydration, fainting, minor injuries, and heatstroke. These two days mark the peak of Muharram activities, drawing thousands of participants to central Karachi for religious processions.
PRCS’s commitment to serving humanity during religious gatherings like Muharram exemplifies its mission to reduce human suffering and promote community well-being. The First Aid Post at Numaish remained operational around the clock, coordinated with city administration and local law enforcement to support emergency needs.
