PRCS Sindh and Bahria University Promote Sustainable Innovation

On October 10, 2025, a collaborative event was held under the CACRA Project at Fatima Jinnah Auditorium, organized by the Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) Sindh Branch in partnership with the Earth and Environmental Science Department of Bahria University.

The session focused on Green Tech for a Climate-Resilient Pakistan, showcasing how artificial intelligence (AI) can drive sustainable solutions for climate challenges.

Captain (R) Majid Mahmood TI (M) PN, Director Academics at Bahria University, graced the occasion as Chief Guest, while Mr. Sibtain Jawed delivered an engaging presentation on “Green Tech: Leveraging AI for a Climate-Resilient Pakistan.

His talk highlighted Pakistan’s climate vulnerability and the vital role of AI in energy, agriculture, and disaster management. Dr. Kanwal Nazim presented on “Mangroves as Smart Natural Infrastructure,” emphasizing their ecological importance, carbon storage capacity, and AI-based restoration potential.

Provincial Secretary Mr. Kanwar Waseem and Chairman Muhammad Rehan Hashmi discussed PRCS Sindh’s climate initiatives and large-scale community training programs promoting environmental awareness and resilience.
