PRCS Launches New Phase of Climate Resilience Program-Karachi Could Reach 50°C by 2028
A wake-up call for urgent climate action as PRCS-Sindh and German Red Cross unveil CACRA Phase III.
Karachi, 27-May-2025 The Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) Sindh, in collaboration with the German Red Cross, proudly launched Phase III of the Climate Advocacy and Community Resilience Action (CACRA) program, a key milestone in its climate resilience journey. Mr. Kanwar Waseem, Provincial Secretary, PRCS-Sindh, welcomed esteemed guests and shared that CACRA Phase III builds upon earlier phases—Phase I, which focused on stakeholder coordination and awareness, and Phase II, which empowered local communities through small grants for adaptation projects. He expressed deep gratitude to the German Red Cross for their unwavering support.
The event’s Chief Guest, Mr. Noman Seghal, Former Minister of climate change and FPCCI’s Horticulture Committee Convener, delivered an inspiring keynote. He strongly advocated for climate and environmental education at all academic levels, highlighted the value of climate literacy, and offered his full support in promoting awareness and volunteering efforts
