The Consul General of France,
Mr. Alexis, paid a cordial visit to the Pakistan Red Crescent Sindh Provincial Headquarters in Karachi
During the visit, the Chairman of the Sindh Branch, Mr. Muhammad Rehan Hashmi, along with the Provincial Secretary, Mr. Kanwar Waseem, briefed the Consul General on the wide range of humanitarian initiatives led by the Red Crescent Sindh.
These included emergency response training programs, disaster management initiatives, community resilience activities, and health-focused projects aimed at strengthening humanitarian services across Sindh. To showcase these efforts, a documentary presentation was also shared, highlighting the organization’s role in serving vulnerable communities
The Consul General of France praised the Pakistan Red Crescent’s dedication to humanitarian service, acknowledging the impact of its programs in disaster preparedness, health, and volunteer training. He appreciated the organization’s consistent efforts in empowering local communities through skill development and emergency response initiatives
Chairman Rehan Hashmi expressed his gratitude for the visit and extended an offer of free first aid and life-saving skills training for the staff of the French Consulate. He emphasized that the Pakistan Red Crescent Sindh is committed to organizing more training camps across various cities and districts, ensuring that people are well-equipped with essential first aid and emergency response skills
The ceremony was graced by distinguished guests, including former Environment Minister Nauman Sehgal, senior journalist Dr. Zaigham, industrialist Naseem Naqvi, Khawaja – Director of Khawaja Industries, members of the PRCS Managing Committee, and other notable personalities. To conclude the ceremony, Senior Vice Chairman Safeeq Ahmed Jafri presented a book on France to the Consul General as a gesture of goodwill.
